RNS802 SoC

The RNS802 runs the RANsemi High PHY software. It has a Small Cell Forum (SCF) FAPI interface that works with partner L2/L3 software running on an O-DU server and connecting to O-RUs through the O-RAN Alliance Open Fronthaul interface.

RNS805 SoC

The RNS805 is an optimised SoC for O-RAN Alliance compliant Cat A O-RU, compliant to 3GPP 5G/4G standards.

The RNS805 uses the RANsemi O-RU software, which supports the O-RAN Alliance Open Fronthaul Control, User, Synchronisation and Management planes, and interfaces to partner RFIC over a high-speed JESD204B interface.

ORANIC - In-line PHY and NIC for O-DU

The ORANIC board is a 16x add-in PCIe board designed for 5G/4G ORAN O-DU servers. It interfaces with partner L2 software over the SCF FAPI interface.

ORANIC integrates four RNS802 SoCs with four 10/25 Gigabit Ethernet SFPs carrying the O-RAN Alliance Open Fronthaul interface.

RNS805RDB RU Demonstration Board

The RNS805RDB is a flexible 5G/4G Radio Unit board used to demonstrate the RNS805 SoC as an O-RAN Alliance Cat A O-RU. It includes an on-board TI AFE7769D RF transceiver and partner n78 RFFE front-end.

NR RU demo software is available for evaluation.

O-DU High PHY software

RANsemi licenses the 5G NR 3GPP compliant High PHY carrier-grade software, which runs on the RNS802 SoC. The software meets the relevant O-RAN Alliance and SCF specifications. Both binary and source code licence options are available.

O-RU software

RANsemi licenses the following 3GPP and O-RAN Alliance compliant carrier-grade software for the RNS805 SoC:

  • NR O-RU
  • LTE O-RU
  • O-RU M-Plane

The NR and LTE software supports O-RU C-, U- and S-Plane and both binary and source code options are available. The M-Plane software is always licensed as source code, to allow our customers to modify it to their requirements. Evaluation, binary and source code licence options are available.
