Dr Doug Pulley presents on AI in Telecoms at NICC Open Forum 2024

NICC (UK Interoperability Standards) invited Dr. Doug Pulley, CTO of RANsemi, to speak on AI in telecoms at its annual Open Forum event 2024. He presented “The march of AI in telecoms – advancing the UK position and future industry challenges” in his capacity as Chair of the UKTIN AI EWG (The UK Telecoms Innovation Network AI Expert Working Group).

He summarised the UKTIN AI EWG output to date, the Phase 1 report, and its recommendations. Doug also shared his views (independent of the AI EWG) on future industry challenges in bringing AI to the RAN (Radio Access Networks).

The NICC Open Forum is an annual event that currently takes place in London, England, and is open to both NICC members and non-members.  It was be held on the 13th November 2024. You can find out more details on this year’s Open Forum event and agenda here.
